but now you're personifying chance, well, more like objectifying. You mentally make a 'thing' out of it. Almost as if to find a 'reason' why something happened this way, instead of the other.

hmm, but math is a (probably consistent) system that's made up by humans.
Every math relies on a certain amount of axioms and there are infinite possible ones, so why should our math be a valid descriptor for chance
